Lucknow: In a landmark move to strengthen cancer care and research in Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow, and the Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)*on September 24. The agreement aims to expand oncological services, foster innovations in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, and facilitate vaccine trials for cancer patients.
The ceremony, held at RMLIMS, was attended by Prof. C.M. Singh, Director, RMLIMS, and Prof. Madan Lal Brahma Bhatt, Director, KSSSCI, along with senior faculty members and officials from both institutes.
The MoU marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between one of the state’s premier super-specialty institutions and a leading cancer research center. The partnership will promote faculty and researcher exchanges, collaborative studies, and development of novel interventions to boost clinical, technical, and community-based capacities in oncology and allied sciences.
Key objectives of the MoU include:
* Joint research projects focusing on advanced oncological solutions and community-based cancer care.
* Development and adoption of new technologies for early detection and treatment.
* Exchange of scientific expertise and faculty for collaborative teaching and innovation.

Senior officials from both institutes emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation to address the complex challenges of cancer care. They expressed confidence that this partnership would bring transformative progress in patient-centered cancer solutions, blending medical science with technological innovation and community outreach.
